Tickets for Block Party 2015 featuring 50 Cent sell out, UU announces

Tickets to the 2015 Block Party event, hosted by University Union, have officially sold out, UU announced Tuesday.

This year’s Block Party will feature rapper 50 Cent with G-Unit, electronic dance music artist Kygo and hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd.

Block Party will take place Friday at the Carrier Dome, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Ticket capacity for the event was 9,800 seats, including an expanded floor section due to popular demand, according to a UU press release.

“We are thrilled with how quickly the show sold out and are extremely grateful to both the SU and Syracuse community for their support,” UU said in the release.

MayFest and Block Party make up UU’s annual full-day spring music event. MayFest will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Walnut Park, leading up to Block Party. Entry into MayFest is free for all SU and SUNY-ESF undergraduate students with a valid school ID.
