Move-in dates and times will be provided by the end of the week, per an email from The Marshall.

Utility work at The Marshall has been completed ahead of schedule and furniture installation will begin this week, the building’s developer told future tenants in an email obtained by The Daily Orange on Friday.

Construction delays have forced The Marshall, a new, eight-story luxury apartment building near Marshall Street, to open late. All 287 future tenants, many of whom are SU students, have been displaced by the delay. Jared Hutter, the developer, has said that he plans to move students sometime in September.

The building’s management team will provide move-in dates and times by the end of the week, per the Friday email. The timelines are estimates and can vary by floor, per the email. A fire safety inspection was also completed and approved, according to the email.

The Marshall has offered tenants alternative housing at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Syracuse and at University Village Apartments on Colvin Street, a private apartment complex on SU’s South Campus. Tenants also have the option of finding their own temporary housing.
